Shawna Morrison

My name is Shawna Morrison and I am a Level 2 Early Childhood Educator. I have been working with the children of Little People’s Place since 1999. Over the years, I have worked at our After School Program with both the school-aged children and pre-school children. I spent many years working in the toddler room but have since taken over as Lead Educator in our new infant room.

In my spare time, I like to read and listen to music; however I enjoy spending time outside whether it’s gardening, hiking, or walking barefoot in the grass. The great outdoors brings me solitude.

I have a daughter who is in her fourth year of university and a son who just graduated from high school and is employed locally.

I chose this job because I am able to love and take care of other people’s children as if they were my own. Loving them and keeping them safe each day brings new excitement and reward. I get to see so many special smiles each day. This job has definitely taught me to celebrate the little things in life everyday.
